Medical West to Host Diabetic Awareness Health Fair
Medical West wants you to get the facts on diabetes and take charge of your condition! Medical West will host a Diabetic Awareness Health Fair Thursday, November 20, 2008 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, in the Medical West Professional Office Building, Civic Room (near the cafeteria). The health fair is open to the community, and free health screenings will be offered, including glucose testing, blood pressure, body mass index, and more! Also, important information will be given out regarding diabetes, including exercise and nutrition tips. Health care providers will be available to answer questions you may have about this disease. Senior Wellness Luncheon
Join us on Friday, October 31 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Bessemer Civic Center, Main Hall. The cost is $3 and the luncheon is open to the community. Our guest speaker is Dr. Richard Stephen, OB/GYN at Medical West. Dr. Stephen will be speaking about Breast Cancer awareness.
