Nursing Informatics at UAB Hospital participates in the design and implementation of new technology to support bedside nurses and ancillary caregivers in providing safe, efficient, and effective care to our patients.

Roles of Nursing Informatics

• Work with staff to design clinical documentation systems
• Manage implementation of new systems and technology
• Collaborate with bedside nursing staff for optimal outcomes
• Educate and train nursing staff
• Serve as liaison with Information Services
