High-Risk Antepartum Unit
The High Risk Antepartum Unit cares for obstetrical patients who have complications, obstetrical and/or medical, that impacts their pregnancy. The staff attempts in every way to “normalize” the high risk pregnancy with personal touches such as baby showers and prenatal classes while providing high tech clinical interventions.

  • Patients experiencing pregnancy with an obstetrical or medical complication

Number of Beds
  • 15

Nurse/Patient Ratio
  • am shift - 1:3
  • pm shift -1:5

Rotation/Shifts
  • 12 hour shifts 8a-8p and 8p-8a

Skill Mix
  • Registered Nurse - 70%
  • Patient Care Technician - 30%

Nursing Unit Orientation
  • 12 weeks with ongoing class requirements for 1 year
