Experienced Nurse Internship

The UAB Hospital Experienced Nurse Internship Program is a paid program that provides the experienced RN the opportunity to rotate through multiple acute care nursing units prior to committing to a permanent unit. This program is designed to assist nurses that have an interest in UAB, but have not worked in such an environment.

Program Guidelines

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience
• Three, 4-week rotations in acute care nursing units
• Rotations and permanent assignment is based on availability.
• Program can be started at time of the year.
• 18-month commitment to UAB following the program
